Traversal Studios is looking for a 2D/3D Motion Graphic Artist to help us develop user interface designs for various game projects. As part of the visual development team, you will work closely with directors, art team, 3D artists, and designers to conceptualize and build interactive designs.
We are looking for multi-disciplinary individual who is interested to help develop video games for a variety of cliental and in-house projects.

As a 2D/3D Motion Graphic Artist, you will work on multiple projects and collaborate with artists, designers, engineers and producers.
Create visual designs, proof of concepts, user interfaces, and assets.
Build UI art from concept to functionality.
Optimize 2D/3D assets for use in game engines.
Maintain a consistent design style and quality across all art.
Develop wireframes, mockups, and user experiences.
Build layouts with typography, iconography, photography, video, shapes and color.
Create functionality for user interfaces within the game engine.
Collaborate with directors and art team to ensure all designs translate consistently from 2D to 3D on any platform.
Create iterations in a rapid manner and give/take feedback while following direction.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques for UI, motion design, art and game design.
Manage and organize asset libraries.
Support the team with any art request such as for game development, websites, applications, products etc.
Help improve and maintain art production workflows.
You have a BS in computer science or the arts or a BA in design field or equivalent experience.
2+ years of working experience creating brands for software such as websites, apps or video games.
Proficiency utilizing software’s such as Adobe Suite After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator. And 3D software’s such as Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya/Cinema 4D.
Strong portfolio showcasing understanding of 2D/3D Motion & UI Design.
Ability to create high-quality work in a fast-paced environment and able to incorporate feedback from directors.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience utilizing version control systems such as Perforce or Git.
Strong attention to details and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Ability to work with deadlines and self-manage time.
Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications.
Comfortable taking on multiple roles.
NICE TO HAVE -
Experience working with game engines.
Experience working with 3D software’s such as Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
An interest in Web 3.0.
Knowledgably in using Slack and Discord.
An interest in game development.
This is a temporary part-time employee position with a duration of approximately 3 months, with the potential for extension or conversion to an ongoing part-time or full-time role.
Expected weekly hours: 10–35 hours per week, depending on project needs.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 – $30.00/hr.
However, salaries or hourly higher or lower than this range may be
appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaning fully
from those listed in the job description.
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional
factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
